A little about IASTM
This course will teach participants how to use the tool to scan for adhesions/ scar tissues and then proceed to breaking them down by body parts. Participants will also learn how to integrate it for pain reduction and in helping with rehabilitation processes along with increasing of ROM.
Course description
We will be taking into fundemantals from IASTM I and apply a more dynamic concept for treatment of sift tissue dysfunctions. Using the IASTM series, we learn how to integrate different tool to get the job done faster and sometimes, a much efficient way to treat the body as a whole(kinetic chain). Here we explore how to add IASTM work during movements helping restore healthier ROM.
Three stages of loading(controlled trauma) would be used in conjunction to manual therapy and exercises.
1. Shortened state
2. Lengthened state
3. Dynamic state(movement)

This course is specifically designed for anyone who wants to learn the advanced level of IASTM and how to integrate them into your current practice or repertoire of skills through movements. Clinicians/participants will learn how to assess someone and quickly include IASTM into the treatment for better results. Learn the many evidence based techniques to help treat, release and accelerate your healing time for your patients, clients and athletes.

Here participants will be using a wide variety of tools provided during the course, where you will be introduced with more usage of the tools to include into movements.

Participants will be able to use the tool for clinical treatment correctly. Be able to integrate to the current practice seamlessly. Correctly identify, address and modify techniques for treatment. Graduation requirements
Be able to understand apply the correct application of the tool.
Note: To graduate, the above requirements must be met. Participants will be practicing/ exposing body parts such as thighs, hamstrings, chest, glutes, ribs etc. You will be advised to wear and use the appropriate attire to allow conducive learning and lab experience. Sport shorts and sport tops for both males and females will be assumed during the clinic.
Pre- requirements
A gross anatomy knowledge will be helpful prior to the course.
