Welcome to BFR certification course

About the BFR course

If you want to learn how to safely and effectively apply occlusion training AKA BFR(blood flow restriction) training, or you work with post operative patients, or if you see patients in the post operative settings, or seeing high powered athletes for strength / hypertrophy, or you're just looking to learn more about how to apply BFR to your personal use, this course will allow you to full take advantage of the BFR training tool. Participants will learn common mistakes that many users are still doing which makes BFR less effective than what it has to offer. The comprehensive course allows you to confidently use BFR into any settings the next day. 

Course Description: 
NEW: This course will teach participants how to use the BFR in training for both performance & rehabilitation post injury or operative. Participants will be having plenty of hands on practise to allow most common mistakes made during application of BFR by many experienced users.


Course Aims:
This course is specifically designed for anyone who wants to learn the fundamentals of BFR(Blood Flow Restriction) and how to integrate them into a current program or repertoire of skills for both personal and professional use. Here, you will be taught how to approach BFR at a scientific level of applications. 

Course Outcome:
At the completion of this program the participant will be able to:

1. Describe how the design of B Strong BFR bands doesn’t cause arterial occlusion.
2. Understand the benefits of BFR training
3. Understand the mechanisms and physiology relating to BFR training
4. Correctly list at least 4 of the precautions and contraindications to BFR as presented in the course

6. Be able to plan a BFR based training program 

Day 1
What is covered:
  • Tool introduction 
  • Theory of BFR training 
  • Lab work for the upper extremity 
  • Programme planning 


Day 2
What is covered:
  • Continued theory of BFR training
  • Lab work for the lower extremity 
  • Programme planning 
  • Case studies
  • Testing

  • Pump gauge 
  • 2 x cuffs
