Course description


The Certificate in Sports Medicine studies is unlike anything that is out there in learning, immersion, dynamic environment, mentorship(s), boasting a whole Body & Mind Change Challenge, this course will take you in a journey towards appreciating Sports Medicine at the entry level. The certificate course in sports medicine is a multi-disciplinary approach from Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Sports Science, Sports Medicine, Exercise Physiology and Sports biomechanics to bring and produce a complete holistic approach to movement & rehabilitation using adjunct therapies/ modalities with diagnosing and treatment of sports related injuries. Students can expect a gruelling and comprehensive programme to include cadaveric lessons to help understand anatomy on a deeper level, on how the body may be affected with movements, manual therapy and manipulations of soft tissues. This is the first certificate level of its kind to have at least *45 hours of cadaver dissections to learn with, along with lectures on orthopaedic testings and so much more. The whole course is similar to a full time studies and will take place in Singapore and our partnered India's physiotherapy college for the live practicums. The online practicum can be done anywhere with a total of 6 months period. The wide exposure to what you will be getting on anatomy / physiology studies, orthopaedic testings, practicals and hands on practise is what makes this certificate course an immense value to those wanting to enter sports medicine or the health & fitness industry at entry level.

Lab studies
Course aim/ outcome: 

The sports medicine certificate programme focuses on rehabilitative therapies and provide students with foundational knowledge and skills to communicate clearly across the spectrum of healthcare professionals. Students will learn basic medical terminology, exercise science/ kinesiology principles.

​The SMP certificate aims to provide students with the latest and highest level of applied theory and application to be able to practise as an independent sports medicine practitioners. The course also aims to bridge the graduate to work closely with other healthcare/ medical professionals, by providing movement prescription and manual therapy to achieve long term recovery and increased wellbeing. For those wanting to work with people, and be qualified to provide sports medicine in many different scenarios such as athletic departments , health and wellness centers, treating and managing musculoskeletal conditions, this course will be the perfect choice. Sports medicine care is seeing an increase with treating and managing injuries, so are the demands for competent practitioners, being a graduate of the course now allows you to take in more patients and clients as the competency level for graduates is second to none.

Pre requirements: Students needs to have a minimum of diploma, of related studies in:

NOTE: The live clinical practicum & lab studies needs to meet 100 percent attendance to graduate. Students who fail to do this will need to re-sit for the entire course of live practicum & pay the necessary fees.
*Our aim is to immerse students within the 45 hours of cadaver lessons, to compliment anatomy / physiology studies, however due to the nature of cadaver(s), kindly take note that if we cannot enforce the cadaver lessons, we will replace the hours with another topic relating to anatomy studies.

NOTE: For those who do not meet the pre-requirements for this course but still wish to undertake the course, you will need to sit for an additional 3 months online basic anatomy course covering introductory medical terms and physiology.

The tuition fee does includes accommodations in our partnered physiotherapy college in India. It does NOT include travels to Singapore nor India etc. It is at the expense of the students. Kindly make necessary travel visa arrangements within these countries. Price is still subject to change.
