What does the Aerial Teacher training program cover

While an aerial yoga teacher training takes you through the poses, we take you through the process of aerial fitness which means, participants(you) will be learning about:

What are the pre-requisites for the aerial teacher training in Singapore?

Not compulsory, but it would be an added benefit for those wanting to learn to teach an aerial class to have at least gone through some form of yoga practice, attended yoga classes, yoga teacher training course(certification). This may be useful if you are to teach an hour aerial yoga class as you will need to know the pose name, benefits, & intent of the movement. Other than that anyone with an interest to learn without any teaching experience or knowledge is welcomed as we start to cover the basics of the hammock, & if you are a dancer, after the course(teacher training), you may let your creativity flow by choreographing silk hammock classes like many have done.

Is Aerial Fitness Teacher Training Hard?

As with any teacher training course in Singapore, there will always be a form of a learning curve but structure makes every difference in how you learn to grasp the concepts & ideas to apply your teaching techniques during an aerial yoga hammock class or fitness class. You can expect yourself to train very rigorously from both theory & practicals, needless to say, this will help condition you to teach students with higher knowledge, better ability & experience to ensure each student feels safe & can trust you fully to enjoy classes by you.

What are the graduation requirements for Aerial Teacher Training Singapore?

Our standards are high, just with any flight school, we don't just expect theoretical knowledge, but a well balanced teacher, trainees trained in Singapore are expected to:

• Correct any potentially wrong posture
• Give the best verbal tactile cues during classes
• Show different methods of spotting
• Show different style of teaching

Failure to meet all requirements will result in taking the instructor training course all over again. 

Is it necessary to register with a body such as Yoga Alliance?

If you have either gone for a yoga teacher training that is registered with yoga alliance(YA), or thinking of being registered with yoga alliance, it does not necessarily mean that the yoga teacher is credible with their yoga practise or teaching yoga. Similarly, if you have gone for aerial yoga teacher training that is registered with YA, it does not mean that the course is credible or it has met certain standards by the accreditation body(YA). If you want to become a yoga teacher, best thing is to ask students from that school or the teachers themselves which yoga training would be good to be a yoga teacher.
An aerial yoga teacher does not have to be registered to be credible as aerial yoga teacher training oversees different requirements & sets of principles during trainings. Registration with YA means that you are paying for a membership that many has done to be credible teachers, but teachers are not checked how they are holding the standard high.
Aerial Fitness on the other hand is very different from an aerial yoga teacher training or a yoga teachers course. You will cover sports medicine(basic), sports science(basic), & the instructor will teach you method. 

Where will the teacher training certification take place?

 Like any studios in Singapore that offer aerial yoga teacher training, trainees/ students will take most of their time at our partnered studio that is equipped with 18 aerial silk hammock.

What happens after the aerial teacher course?

You will have plenty of opportunities to teach with Movement & Sports Medicine Centre, or any studios that offer aerial yoga hammock classes, or start to introduce aerial fitness at the studio(we are the only ones to teach fitness for aerial). You will also have a library of aerial which is presented to you at an exclusive price after the training(only for aerial faculty)

Our teachers come from all over the globe between live(in-person) & online so you can expect to be exposed to different teaching styles & methods.
