What are the pre-requirements for the course?
While there are no pre-requirements for the course, each class that we cover essentially covers stretching the body from basic to advanced concepts. During training, classes will discuss the anatomy & physiology of the human body, thus it's advised that you familiarise yourself with some understanding of exercises, anatomical terms/ orientation, & muscles prior to attending the course as it will help you understand the stretches a lot better. The course, is, however, made simple enough for the students to cope to apply into practise.

Is the stretch course the same as pilates/yoga?
Stretch therapy is a one on one therapist-assisted stretching to free/improve joint movement, flexibility, exercise classes such as yoga, exercise the muscles in your body is limited in general, & not specific to help with the search of a specific goal such as joint motion, pain, or sports performance, rather for the generality of moving the body, which just like most exercise class dopes as well. So,times you can spend hours in a yoga class stretching but with little to no progress, this is due to lack of specific goals, more practice doesn't mean better. Functional stretch(fst) however, is custom & can be customised to the client's goal of maybe improving upper body strength, core, flexibility, or decrease stress by assisted stretching.
How long is the functional stretching therapy course/ class?
During the program, students go through a seven-week long training to learn how to apply core techniques to the hips, pain assessment, techniques to decrease pain, modify your posture to the client, & watch online video lecture at your convenience.
